Where Chefs Eat
A Guide to Chef’s favorite restaurants
This is the 2013 newbie in our cooking segment, a segment we once started because we noticed the hospitality world is increasingly understanding the visual taste of their product. So we figured “Where Chefs Eat” must be looking yummy! Guess what, not a single image in it. Just plain text, addresses and maps. Utterly boring, but well designed and well documented with nothing but the best addresses - from local favourites to high end and full of hidden treasures - from the best chefs in the world, this book is extremely useful for every food fanatic. Phaidon may be on track to become the Lonely Planet for gastronomy. For the next issue Phaidon should keep in mind that a softcover may be slightly more convenient when it comes to browsing a guide.
