Peter Lindbergh, was born Peter Brodbeck in 1944 in Leszno, Poland. This city was German between 1939 and 1945 and that made Peter a German citizen. Lindbergh got his fame with his fashion photography and is well-known and respected throughout the entire world. With his new project - The Unknown - Lindbergh is searching for recognition beyond our planet. We quote: “The Unknown is a photographic “serial novel” of fashion shootings set against the backdrop of a fictitious landing of beings from outer space.” The book is was published to coincide with the exhibition in Beijing. It clearly shows that Lindbergh is reinventing himself with this seriously intriguing series of photos and that is something we applaud. The problem is that we are old-fashioned and we love his iconic, classic black and white works we know from Untitled 116 which we no longer have in stock unfortunately.
