Oosterschelde Kreeft
If there is one segment on MENDO’s shelves that is developing slowly but surely, it’s the food related segment. We’ve always had books about restaurant, bar and hotel interiors – recently it has expanded with books about the world’s best restaurant Noma and one of our local favorites Toscanini in Amsterdam. We love these books, because the culinary industry has a very keen eye for the beauty of their ingredients – both the raw product as well as the final creations. Our latest addition to the segment is Oosterschelde Kreeft. Oosterschelde Kreeft (lobster from the south of the Netherlands) is considered to be the crown jewel of Dutch local products. The book is a homage to this wonderful animal with a combination of beautiful photos and recipes from Dutch restaurants. The text is in Dutch so, unless you are from the Netherlands, you need to use your imagination to try and recreate the recipes.
