Title-wise Nostalgia in Vogue is spot-on. It features the highlights of Vogue’s history. The content is drawn from the Nostalgia column in the magazine. Anna Wintour opens the book with a foreword, that says it all. We quote: “Fashion photography might appear to be the very definition of ephemeral, created for the sole purpose of capturing the trends of a fleeting season - but it’s extraordinary how evocative a great image can be. There are so many more layers than the eye sees, some of which reveal themselves only in retrospect.
