GUP (Guide to Unique Photography) is a Dutch photography magazine that is internationally renowned eversince the first issue was published back in 2005. New is their latest initiative – an annual with the 100 most talented emerging Dutch photographers. This is nice if you are interested in upcoming photographers and if you are sick and tired of Pinteresting your way to inspiration. From our MENDO point of view some of the work can be described as ‘alternative’ - then again, we’re the type of guys that like pretty pictures. Most of all it’s a solid, inspirational photo book for just 25.00. The typo is cool, we’re not sure about the four covers, but the back cover is brilliant: “Your first 10.000 photographs are your worst”. Thank you, Henri Cartier-Bresson. And thank you, GUP.
