Living Modern
The Sourcebook of Contemporary Interiors
Judging by the title, this book should to be a useful reference for anyone who just bought a nice little suburban house or rented a two bedroom apartment. But it isn’t. Read this: “Reflecting pools and an outdoor shower carry the theme of water around and through the house.” As these are the handy tips you will find in this book, you understand it features nothing but one-off architectural cribs. Beautiful, but not particularly practical. Nevertheless, it is inspiring for everyone in terms of functionality, use of colors, mixing fabrics and textures, applying art at home and defining the style that suits you. Plus as a book it is nice for the coffee (side)table in our modest homes, allowing us to fantasize about the day we will be ‘Living Modern’.
