Lacombe
Anima / Persona
Unintentionally, Lacombe is one of the best kept secrets we have here at MENDO. When we first got information about this book, it looked very promising. In terms of works French-born celebrity photographer Brigitte Lacombe is as good as Albert Watson or Mario Testino. In fact, we think her work is even slightly more interesting. The only reason why this book has not become the bestseller it could & should have been: the book cover sucks. If you have never heard of Lacombe, neither the cover nor the subtitle are inviting enough to pick up, leaf through and be amazed by this magnificent book. Nevertheless, we strongly suggest you consider this review to be the invitation.
