Jan des Bouvrie
In The Netherlands, everybody knows Jan des Bouvrie. He was one of the first Dutch designers, if not the first, who turned himself into a brand. Some even only know him as a society figure, characterized by Dutch tv show Glamourland. But that doesn’t do justice to the man who has been restyling the Dutch interior for over 50 years now. He’s been an ambassador for the use of white, he introduced the open kitchen and brought the outdoors indoor. WBOOKS does do justice to Des Bouvrie with this stunning publication, which isn’t just a chornological summary of his work, but a playfully arranged selection of his interiors, furniture designs, product designs and examples of his comprehensive art collection.
