If you are only the least bit of a book junkie, you know about the magical scent of a well printed book. India by Andreas H. Bitesnich was printed on a matte type of paper. The paper basically absorbs some of the ink and with it a tiny bit of the sharpness of the images disappears. But what remains is breathtaking. Beautiful contrast, a marvelous richness of colors and an irresistible urge to stick your nose in the book. Although the book covers all the cliches you can expect from a photography book about India it still is an extraordinary visual tribute.
