George Harrison
Living In The Material World
George Harrison was known as the most modest and spiritual Beatle. The release of his album ‘Living In A Material World’ coincided with the creation of his charitable foundation. This book is describes the journey from a regular boy from Liverpool to an artist who possessed the world at twenty-one until the years after the Beatles adventure. The editor says: “His saturation in the material world drove him to seek the spiritual in things- and so his life seems a series of vanishings and reappearances, journeys there and back.” This book contains many personal photographs, post cards and letters, selected by the quite Beatle’s widow. And that’s interesting because it takes away the stardom and makes you understand a bit more about the person that experienced it all. Foreword is by Martin Scorsese, who’s also responsible for the documentary that is tied to the book.
