Published in a Limited Art Edition for € 1,500.00 and already offered for amounts like € 3,500.00 (if available) Erwin Olaf’s Own, an overview of his works so far, created a bit of a buzz in The Netherlands in 2011. Day after Erwin Olaf visited the Dutch TV show De Wereld Draait Door (literally The World Keeps Spinning and metaphorically The World Is Going Crazy) people got a little nervous. The 300 copies of the book were sold out in pre-order directly - weeks before the book was actually published. Is that crazy? Not if you consider that the value of the book exploded instantly, turning that € 1,500.00 into pocket change. Books are so boring... !
