Apple Design
Finally an opportunity to talk about Steve Jobs. Ever since I read his biography I’m even more of an Apple junkie than I used to be. I’m fully aware that I’m caught in his trap (phone, pad, mac, music, cloud) and yet, I love it. You feel like an idiot when you read that the guy doesn’t believe in market research because “people don’t know what they want until we develop it for them”. But you know he’s right. On Apple we have two book suggestions: the biography and this book by Hatje Cantz on his design. I’m not sure Jobs would have approved on the design of the book that accompanies an exhibition in Germany (ended January 2012), but in terms of content we know he’s okay, as Jobs and his fellows are completely responsible for it.
