But high above that, in a league of its own, is elBulli – even though it is currently closed, temporarily or for good. Ferran Adria is an obsessive culinary king, scientifically documenting every gastronomic move he makes. For a MENDO book, it’s actually way to detailed, but hey, it’s elBulli. And everything they do turns into gold. Although, that doesn’t actually seem to be the case. The restaurant, that gets 2,000.000 requests for 8,000 places per year, had not been profitable for years. It were the books that ensured revenue. Books, where would we be without books.
